Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant. This role will involve providing project-specific services that exceed client expectations.

  • This includes certifying design, testing, and acceptance activities of rolling stock, including acting as the rolling stock Independent Certifier.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in a similar or related role with demonstrated expert knowledge of rolling stock within a consultancy environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechatronic or a related Engineering discipline, CPEng or equivalent registration, are highly desired.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of rollingstock standards and vehicle specifications, proven technical expertise in Rolling Stock testing and verification activities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and exceptional written and planning skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certify design, testing, and acceptance activities of rolling stock.
  • Act as the rolling stock Independent Certifier.
  • Provide technical matter expertise for DMU and EMU vehicles.
  • Supervise T&C, product introduction, and other deliverables as required by future projects.
  • Assist in project control, execution, and management of tasks/projects.
  • Carry out analytical & implementation tasks.
  • Liaise and assist with project reviews and the project team.
  • Communicate effectively with client staff.
  • Complete all project administrative tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years' experience in a similar or related role.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of rolling stock within a consultancy environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechatronic or a related Engineering discipline.
  • CPEng or equivalent registration (highly desired).
  • RPEV/RPEQ (highly desired but not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of rollingstock standards and vehicle specifications.
  • Proven technical expertise in Rolling Stock testing and verification activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written and planning skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Effective communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
