Medical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specialist to join our team at the Launceston General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our commitment to delivering excellence in healthcare.
Job DescriptionThis is a permanent, full-time position, or potentially two part-time positions (0.5 FTE), working up to 76 hours per fortnight. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work flexibly and negotiate their working hours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist medical services to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to achieve improved health outcomes for consumers.
- Prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Holding specialist registration.
- Being a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway, or having a recognised overseas specialist qualification with sufficient experience in the specialty.
- Current Working with Children Registration where applicable.
- A competitive salary range from $216,300 to $310,389 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation.
