Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Design Lead to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our design delivery process, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and execution of premium construction projects from inception to completion.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless design delivery, preventing clashes in BIM, and overseeing project execution both digitally and on-site (1–2 site visits per week). You will work closely with consultants and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all design aspects of construction projects, including architectural and engineering design.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, BCA requirements, Construction Act, and NCC.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track project progress and performance.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or equivalent, ideally within high-end multi-residential, commercial, or industrial sectors.
  • Registered Architect (preferred) with the ability to independently lead and coordinate all design aspects.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, BCA requirements, Construction Act, and NCC.
  • Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and BIM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across all stages of design.
