About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team at Fujitsu. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for producing security documentation and facilitating the security certification and accreditation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain security awareness and implement best practices to ensure the security of our systems.
  • Work in a Network Operation Centre environment, utilizing your expertise to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Collaborate with our Agile development team to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our projects.
  • Develop detailed designs and build instructions to ensure the security of our systems.
  • Communicate effectively with technical leads and project management to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our security posture.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate security risks.
Requirements
  • Experience in facilitating the security accreditation process within Defence.
  • Strong background in network security, with a focus on security frameworks such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Ability to discuss security implications with internal and external stakeholders, and develop pragmatic solutions to minimize security risk.
  • Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources to develop security documentation, including System Overview Documents, Statements of Applicability, Standard Operating Procedures, and Security Risk Management Plans.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with certification consultants to ensure security documentation is fit for purpose.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings, and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide outcomes in an environment with limited information and uncertainty.
  • Effective planner with efficient time management skills.
  • Current AGSVA TSPV security clearance preferred. NV2 security clearance required (with willingness to upgrade to TSPV).
