Payroll Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced payroll specialist to join our Global Payroll Operations team.

This role will be responsible for all operational aspects across the ANZ region, including tax and superannuation resolution on behalf of customers, communication with government agencies, and collaboration with R&D teams and external partners.

This is an exciting role that requires significant cross-departmental engagement with a major impact on product and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine audits on STP filings and superannuation payments for Australian customers
  • Monthly payroll tax filings and payments throughout the ANZ region
  • Operational tasks in New Zealand such as payday filings and monthly CPF for Singapore customers
  • Issue resolution and communication with various government agencies such as ATO and IRD
  • Customer issues directly engaged and resolved
  • Payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirements
  • Bugs and product issues (e.g., calculation errors, file generation errors) quickly addressed
  • Internal tooling requirements and automated solutions properly prioritized and implemented
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing payroll operations in Australia and New Zealand, familiarity in Singapore considered a plus
  • Prior involvement with STP reporting, tax calculations, payroll product configurations, superannuation, and resolving tax notices
  • Familiarity with HR & Payroll law and policy
  • Minimum 2+ years in global payroll, minimum 3+ years in a client-facing role
  • Ability to manage customer support tickets
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office for data analysis and task organization
