About the Role

IBISWorld is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industry Analyst to join our team. As an Industry Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping our clients make informed business decisions by providing in-depth industry research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze macroeconomic, demographic, and industry-specific data to identify key business trends.
  • Develop long-term forecasts based on existing industry data.
  • Update high-quality industry reports within specified deadlines and in accordance with in-house editorial and quality standards.
  • Conduct qualitative research to stay up-to-date with key macroeconomic and industry trends.
  • Deliver client presentations and contribute to product development initiatives.
  • Engage with the media to share industry insights and trends.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, business, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and forecast economic data, demonstrated through previous work experience or university studies.
  • Familiarity with online research techniques.
  • Strong grasp of economics, financial terms, and business concepts.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience writing business research articles, reports, or other key documents for a business audience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong interest in keeping up-to-date with economic news and current events.
  • Confidence to liaise with the media regarding current industry trends.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
