Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to provide personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities.

  • Assist with daily living activities such as domestic cleaning, personal care, and meal preparation.
  • Support participants with their goals and aspirations, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, carers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Domestic Cleaning Assistance
  1. Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
  2. Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and other living areas.
  3. Washing windows, mirrors, and other surfaces.
  4. Taking out the trash and recycling.
  5. Tidying and organizing spaces as requested.
  6. Washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens.
  7. Changing bed sheets and making beds.
  8. Assisting with meal planning and preparation.
  9. Washing dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen.
  10. Assisting with minor gardening tasks, such as watering plants.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Attributes
  1. Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude.
  2. Ability to work independently while respecting participant preferences.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Experience in a similar role or related field.
  2. Valid Driver's License and Vehicle.
  3. Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  4. NDIS Worker Screening Card/Yellow Card exemption or willingness to obtain.
  5. Full working rights in Australia.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour.
  • Flexible scheduling: 20-38 hours per week.
  • A variety of shifts available, including afternoons, days, mornings, and weekends.

Supplementary Pay and Licenses:

  • Penalty rates applicable.
  • First Aid Certification (required).
  • Working with Children Check (required).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred).
  • National Police Certificate (preferred).
  • Driver Licence (required).
