About Our Hospice

Sandcastles Children's Hospice (Boodja Mia) is a purpose-built facility located on the Western Australian coast. We offer statewide specialist paediatric palliative care services for children and young people (0–18 years) with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.

  • Medically supported respite, emergency symptom management, and end-of-life care in a peaceful environment
  • Symptom management addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs
  • End of life care
  • After-death and bereavement care, including a suite for the child and family to access post death and long-term grief counselling support
  • Sibling and family support, with opportunities for peer connection and emotional care
