Operations Leadership Role

A forward-thinking Operations Manager is sought to spearhead daily operations at Schiphol Airport, driving continuity, structure, and excellence in all aspects.

As a key member of the team, you will oversee a talented group of supervisors, planners, and technicians, foster strong service cultures, and drive performance with a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, ensure operational stability and efficiency.
  • Lead daily unit check-ins, facilitate weekly operational meetings, and align teams around customer goals.
  • Monitor asset integration, manage non-rented equipment, and promote smart utilisation.
Strategic Maintenance & Equipment Readiness
  • Improve maintenance performance by ensuring compliance with internal protocols and technical standards.
  • Guarantee high availability and reliability of equipment through effective planning and maintenance practices.
Effective Team Leadership & Culture
  • Act as main point of contact for Unit Team Leads, planners, and supervisors—providing support, structure, and motivation.
  • Build strong team morale, champion core values, and drive a culture where employees feel valued and committed to shared success.
Safety Focus
  • Foster a robust safety culture, embedding it into daily habits and routines.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements

  • Bring a strong technical background in workshop, fleet, or equipment operations.
  • Be familiar with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
