About the Position

The primary objective of this role is to learn and develop skills as a skilled Painter.

  • Preparation of vehicle surfaces for paint by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Mixing and matching paint colours to achieve an accurate match with desired colour.
  • Application of paint using spray guns and other equipment for a smooth finish on vehicle surfaces.
  • Priming and sealing to promote paint adhesion and prevent rust.
  • Multiple layers of paint application including basecoat, clearcoat, and specialized coatings.
  • Blending new paint into existing areas with skill.
  • Correction of imperfections through detailed touch-ups.
  • Creation of special textures, patterns, or effects using different techniques.
  • Monitoring and controlling drying and curing processes.
  • Inspection of painted surfaces for flaws.
