Developer Relations Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer Relations Lead to join our team at mod. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for leading our outreach efforts for AAA and AA size games, managing our sales process, and establishing a Customer Success capability.
Key Responsibilities- Game Studio Outreach: Identify, engage, and convert Game Studios through proactive communication and outreach, with a focus on AAA and AA games.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipeline logistics to ensure the sales team is effectively allocated and all leads receive appropriate follow-up.
- Deal Negotiation: Support the CEO, VP of Developer Relations, and sales team to negotiate deal terms with our AAA and AA gaming partners.
- Contract Management: Manage the logistics of the final stages of the sales cycle, including liaison with legal teams.
- Documentation: Create and update necessary documentation required to close deals, in conjunction with the VP of Operations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide reports and analysis on sales team performance, including key metrics and performance against targets and goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to sales approach and process in collaboration with the Developer Relations team and VP of Operations.
- Customer Success: Establish a Customer Success capability to support onboarding Game Studios and build close relationships with live games.
- Case Studies: Develop case studies highlighting game success for use in marketing and sales materials.
- Platform Updates: Communicate relevant platform updates and news efficiently and effectively to maximize partner satisfaction and platform usage.
- Conference Attendance: Attend international conferences, with a plan and full meeting schedule.
- Data Analysis: Feed data and learnings gained from working with Game Studios into the Product team.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in the games industry, developer relations, business development, or comparable field.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and people skills, both written and verbal.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Data Analysis: Love of data, stats, and being able to identify trends and report on them.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Google Mail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Business Acumen: Strong technical skills and hunger to work and self-direct in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Game Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of user-generated content, its use within games, and comparable platforms like Steam Workshop and Playfab.
- Passion for Gaming: A passion for video games.
- SaaS Sales Experience: Negotiated and sold SaaS-like services to businesses in and outside of gaming.
- Agile Environment Experience: Experience working in an agile environment.
- Start-up Experience: Experience working in a small, growing start-up.
