About Our School
We are a leading educational institution in Melbourne, providing quality education to over 2500 students and 320 staff members. We are seeking passionate teachers who can inspire our students in a collaborative environment.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:
- Providing in-class support and guidance to students across years 7 to 12
- Liaising with colleagues as required for professional support
- Collaborating on program development and resource creation
- Conducting parent-teacher interviews
- Administering diagnostic tests for planning remedial programs
- Facilitating small group testing
- Developing curriculum differentiation strategies
- Crafting Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for individual students involving the student, staff, and parents
- Meting with senior leaders, year level coordinators, and counsellors to address individual student needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant university degree and teaching qualifications - registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- An understanding of teaching and learning styles and study skills
- Knowledge of the Year 7-12 curriculum
- An appreciation of young people and their learning needs
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- The capacity to integrate technology into the curriculum
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
