Remote Health Professional

The Remote Area Nurse/Midwife plays a pivotal role in delivering primary and public health care services to remote communities across the Northern Territory.
- This includes working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide healthcare services at remote clinics.
- Ensuring that Aboriginal specific and culturally appropriate services are provided is also a key aspect of this role.
- Frequent travel to remote communities by 4WD or light plane is necessary for this position.
- Participating in an on-call roster that operates 24/7 is also required.
To be successful in this role, applicants will need to have extensive experience, skills, and knowledge in remote practice settings.
Essential Requirements- A N3 or N4 qualification in nursing/midwifery is essential.
- Applicants must also have manual vehicle driving experience and be eligible for an NT driver's licence.
- Vaccination, remote emergency management, and midwifery emergency management certification are also required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential for this role.
