Remote Health Specialist

This role involves working as a Remote Health Specialist in various locations across the Northern Territory, providing primary and public health services.
Key Responsibilities- Utilizing extensive experience, skills, and knowledge in remote practice settings, work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate services are provided.
- Drive a manual vehicle and possess a valid driver's licence, with a willingness to travel to remote communities on a regular basis by 4WD or light plane.
- Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call roster and be current with vaccination, remote emergency management, and midwifery emergency management certification.
- N3: Applies advanced nursing/midwifery knowledge, skills, attributes, and abilities within a specified area of clinical practice in therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
- N4: Supports and provides collaborative, appropriate, proficient, coordinated direct and indirect clinical care for complex client presentations, including working alongside less experienced nursing and midwifery staff, within the specialty area.
- Selection will be made at the N3 or N4 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.
