Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role working a Monday to Friday day shift only roster.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the frontline delivery of the Mechanical Engineering Control Plan, inspecting, maintaining and repairing electrical apparatus in accordance with Australian and mine standards, proactively working with the CHPP team to ensure that asset management and production targets are achieved, participating and contributing to our proactive safety culture, promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment and application of values.

  • Assist in frontline delivery of the Mechanical Engineering Control Plan
  • Inspect, maintain and repair electrical apparatus in accordance with Australian and mine standards
  • Work proactively with the CHPP team to ensure asset management and production targets are achieved
  • Contribute to our proactive safety culture
  • Promote and maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • You are a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter/Boilermaker)
  • You have previous experience as a Mechanical technician in a CHPP or fixed plant industrial setting
  • You are familiar with crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens, centrifuges, industrial pumps and similar equipment
  • You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates
  • You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a challenging and dynamic environment
  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability and commitment to working proactively
  • You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance and a willingness to contribute to a winning team
