Teaching Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educator to join our primary school community. As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating curriculum areas or programs within the school;
  • Undertaking other classroom-related duties as determined by the Principal;
  • Participating in activities such as parent-teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
Key Selection Criteria
  1. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curricula and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
  2. Proven experience in responding to student learning needs.
  3. Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact on student learning growth.
  4. Proven ability to monitor and assess student learning.
  5. Experience in using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
  8. Alignment with Department values.
  9. Commitment to ongoing professional learning to improve teaching quality.
