The YMCA Queensland is seeking a permanent part-time Assistant Coordinator to join their Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service at Wavell Heights.

This role offers 34.5 hours per week during school terms and up to 38 hours per week during vacation care.

As the Assistant Coordinator, you will support the Service Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the service and the leadership of a team of Educators.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with the development and delivery of engaging programs, supporting daily service operations, helping manage staffing and team collaboration, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, assisting with administration and documentation, and building strong, positive relationships with families and the school community.

You will be guided by a strong management team, including your Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.

To succeed in this role, you must have completed (or currently studying) a Diploma of Children's Services or relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching.

Experience assisting with programming and a passion for quality childcare are also essential.

Apart from these requirements, you should have strong administration and documentation skills in an OSHC setting, excellent communication and customer service skills, current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), and current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) would be advantageous.

The YMCA OSHC operates across 50+ school sites in South East Queensland, providing before school, after school, and vacation care.

The Wavell Heights OSHC service provides dedicated indoor and outdoor activity areas with easy access to the school oval.
