Junior Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations, leading and supervising sections of the kitchen during service, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation, assisting with stock control, ordering, and menu development, maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with food safety standards, and training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to support team growth.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar, ready to step up
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food
  • Ability to lead a section and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Relevant trade qualifications in commercial cookery
