Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee daily on-site activities related to solar PV systems and BESS components in Canberra.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and electrical codes
  • Develop and maintain work packs, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Monitor contractor performance, providing guidance on project implementation and safety protocols
  • Serve as the primary contact between the site and the project office, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  2. At least 5 years of site experience in electrical engineering, particularly with solar farm and/or BESS projects
  3. Familiarity with work packs and ITPs, including development and review processes
  4. Knowledge of industry and safety regulations, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
  5. Valid driver's license and willingness to work on remote sites
  6. Legal right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, PR, or valid working VISA)
