Canberra, ACT, Australia Airswift Full time

Airswift is seeking a Site Engineer (Electrical) for a 12-month initial casual contract, with the possibility of permanent employment, in Canberra, ACT. The project involves renewable solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) initiatives.

Key Details:

  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Duration: 12 months (initial), open to permanent
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 10 hours per day
  • Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily on-site activities related to solar PV systems and BESS components
  • Develop and maintain work packs
  • Assist in creating and reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure their proper implementation
  • Monitor contractor performance for compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and electrical codes
  • Serve as the primary contact between the site and the project office

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of site experience in electrical engineering, particularly with solar farm and/or BESS projects
  • Familiarity with work packs and ITPs
  • Knowledge of industry and safety regulations
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to work on remote sites
  • Legal right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, PR, or valid working VISA)
