
Specialist Forensic Disability Officer

The Community Forensic Mental Health Service is seeking a skilled Allied Health professional to join our multidisciplinary team as a Forensic Disability Officer. This role provides specialist assessment and intervention for individuals in the criminal justice system.
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention services for individuals within the criminal justice system.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning and continuity of service.
- Provide consultation and advice to those within the team and to service providers across health, justice, and community sectors.
- Support the team by providing information on the NDIS and helping navigate access pathways.
- Contribute to education, service development, and quality improvement initiatives within the CFMHS.
- Experienced in assessment, care coordination, and intervention for individuals with intellectual/learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries and comorbidities.
- Skilled in working across multiple service systems (health, justice, and community).
- An excellent communicator with the ability to adapt style for different audiences, backed by strong report-writing and documentation skills.
- Committed to trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally responsive practice.
- Tertiary qualified in an Allied Health discipline.
