We are seeking a passionate and skilled Allied Health professional to join our multidisciplinary team in the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist assessment and intervention for individuals in the criminal justice system, including in-reach services to courts and custodial settings.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning and continuity of service.
  • Providing consultation and advice to those within the team and to service providers across health, justice, and community sectors.
  • Supporting the team by providing information on the NDIS and helping navigate access pathways.
  • Contributing to education, service development, and quality improvement initiatives within the CFMHS.
About the Role

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in assessment, care coordination, and intervention for individuals with intellectual/learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries and comorbidities, ideally within forensic or mental health contexts.
  • Skills in working across multiple service systems (health, justice, and community).
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to adapt style for different audiences, backed by strong report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally responsive practice.
  • Tertiary qualified in an Allied Health discipline (experience in disability service, forensic setting, or mental health will be highly regarded).
