Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting consumers on their journey to recovery.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong passion for Mental Health nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional care. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and provide high-quality patient care to consumers with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each consumer.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to consumers and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/consumers to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
