About the Role:
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of workplace hazards, ensuring effective risk management practices.
- Stay informed of changes in occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices, implementing necessary updates.
- Support the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical advice and support to business leaders, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), offering guidance on safety procedures, risk assessments, and control measures.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of occupational health and safety initiatives and programs within the business.
- Foster a collaborative approach to occupational health and safety, engaging with business leaders to promote a positive safety culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety roles, including providing technical advice and support in a large and complex organization.
- Previous experience working in aged care, insurance, dental, optical, retail, or health and care industries.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.
