Infrastructure Architect Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design, implement and manage our enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of hybrid environments, data protection and business continuity.

  • Develop and maintain the Commvault backup and recovery environment across hybrid infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, job performance and storage utilisation proactively.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of backup failures, restore issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Provide L3 support and mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to data retention and protection policies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for backup configurations, SOPs and disaster recovery plans.
  • Design and test disaster recovery strategies.
  • Apply a strong risk mindset to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Automate routine backup tasks using scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure and application teams to integrate Commvault with AWS and other platforms.
  • Participate in capacity planning and architecture reviews.
