This is a key leadership position in the Office of the Children's Commissioner - Strategy, Rights and Advice team.
The successful applicant will provide high-level strategic and policy advice on statutory responsibilities to identify and address issues affecting vulnerable children.
- Developing strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Providing advice on rights-based approaches to addressing child protection issues.
- Building partnerships with government agencies, non-government organisations and community groups.
Senior Administrative Officer 1 experience.
A strong understanding of child development principles and evidence-based practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent.
