Senior Controls Engineer

The role of a Senior Controls Engineer is to oversee the development and implementation of standards for data center control systems. This includes designing, configuring, and testing control equipment, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues related to control equipment.

A successful Senior Controls Engineer must possess strong engineering judgment and be able to provide recommendations despite uncertainty. They should also have experience managing engineering projects and consultants, as well as building trust and relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement standards for data center control systems.
  • Design, configure, and test control equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control equipment.
  • Manage engineering projects and consultants.
  • Build trust and relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or other related engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in project coordination with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
