Detention Healthcare Director

The Health Services Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver healthcare services within detention settings.
This position is responsible for ensuring that care is effective, high quality, and responsive to the patient's needs, with a strong focus on achieving positive health outcomes.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and leadership skills, a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to connect with others and lead with clarity and purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of primary healthcare services in the detention facility.
- Manage resources effectively to meet business and workflow requirements.
- Adept at adopting and promoting a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement by leading, implementing, and championing change.
- Inspire and engage team members by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and mentorship.
- Actively participate in risk management and quality improvement systems to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience, including a Bachelor of Nursing degree, with a minimum of five years' post-graduate clinical experience in a relevant field.
- At least five years' experience in leadership or management roles within a complex healthcare environment.
- Current AHPRA registration in Nursing or another relevant clinical profession without any conditions.
