Strategic Growth Leader

The primary objective of this role is to spearhead business expansion initiatives and drive strategic growth in the Defence industry. This involves leading a team of professionals to develop and implement innovative strategies that foster business development and achieve key objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans, aligning with the 2025 Defence strategy.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of bid teams, ensuring timely submission and successful outcome of opportunities.
- Provide coaching and support to business professionals for allocated key captures, facilitating effective contract negotiations and handover for programme execution.
- Establish a robust pipeline of opportunities aligned with the Defence strategy, leveraging market analysis and competitor insights.
- Manage opportunities from initial identification to tender preparation and contract negotiation, applying strong project management skills.
Requirements:
- Business development or operational experience in Defence or Defence-related fields.
- Relevant degree or diploma in engineering or marketing/management discipline.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Strong people management, systems, operational, financial, resource planning, and reporting skills.
- Australian citizenship for Defence clearance purposes.
