Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance will contribute to Hub Australia's overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analysing variances and providing insights.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of tax returns, regulatory filings, and insurance documents.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting and systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to support the delinquency process and manage cash flow.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
