Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop accounting staff, conduct daily team huddles, and perform biannual performance reviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including cash flow management and credit risk.
  • Maintain and update asset registers, directors' interest calculations, and leasing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance policies and manage annual renewals.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with annual operating budgets.
  • Handle payroll oversight, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Implement and refine processes to improve efficiency and maintain data integrity.
  • Address ad-hoc tasks and support finance department changes as required.
About You:

You will thrive in this role if you have a positive attitude to work and are willing to be trained. Experience in manufacturing business is desirable, as is experience in construction or projects business. Significant experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable is essential. You should have strong leadership and team management skills, be proficient in accounting software and Excel, and have knowledge of AASB15 and core accounting standards.

You should also have experience in cash flow and working capital management, excellent data entry and accuracy, and be self-motivated and adaptable to change. Effective communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities are also essential. You should be professional and confidential, and have exceptional multiskilling abilities. Adaptability, accountability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are also required.
