A leading healthcare organization seeks a Registered Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of sustainable healthcare solutions.


About the Role:


This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with general unrestricted registration and relevant post-graduate qualification to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in detention. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including doctors and allied health experts, to deliver comprehensive and responsive healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To provide hands-on patient care in an operational setting, prioritizing the needs of detainees and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely access to the most appropriate healthcare services, including general medical practice, nursing, drug and alcohol support, and allied health services.
  • To contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions that respect and acknowledge the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • General unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification (desirable).
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changes and provide responsive services to meet the needs of detainees.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and database management).
