Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive and sustainable healthcare solutions to enhance health outcomes for individuals in detention.
- Ensure timely access to the most appropriate healthcare services, including general medical practice, nursing, drug and alcohol support, and allied health services.
- Provide care that respects and acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees.
Requirements:
- General unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Relevant post-graduate qualification (desirable).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changes and provide responsive services to meet the needs of detainees.
- Proficient in computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and database management).
