About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at our Whyalla Residential Care Home.

As a key member of our Food Services team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals to our residents. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older people and be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement meal plans that cater to the nutritional needs and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Work collaboratively with the Food Services team to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and delivery
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and compliance with Australian food standards
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to promote continuous improvement in Food Services

What We're Looking For:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Community Food Services (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen, including meal planning and preparation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment, including combi ovens, brat pans, and commercial dishwashers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian food standards and food safety
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one
