About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Trainee to join our team in Geriatric Medicine at a tertiary teaching hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care and advancing their skills in this field.

As an Advanced Trainee, you will be working closely with experienced geriatricians to develop your skills in medical assessment, clinical management, and research. You will also have opportunities to participate in a range of academic activities, including journal clubs, grand rounds, and conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also require a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of high-quality patient care in a geriatric medicine setting
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to research projects and academic activities within the department
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Be eligible for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
  • Demonstrate appropriate level of experience and skills in medical assessment and clinical management of patients
  • Hold a current Working with Children check (WWCC)
