As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our organisation.

About The Job

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure across multiple sites. You will be the first point of contact for general IT support, providing exceptional service to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

You will also work on projects to strengthen the security posture of the organisation, including administration and deployment of firewalls. Additionally, you will assist with risk assessments and implementation of security policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general maintenance and administration of hardware, software and operating systems
  • Management and maintenance of backups, patching and assets
  • Provision of new hardware for personnel
  • Onboarding of new users
  • Assist with the support of IT infrastructure, including administration and deployment of firewalls
  • Assist with risk assessments and implementation of security policies and protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years' experience in an IT support role, including administration, configuration and troubleshooting within a Windows environment.
  • Keen interest in supporting and learning about all areas of modern IT infrastructure, including networks, security, servers, virtualisation, storage and backup, and cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Windows Server (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS) and CentOS (or other Linux distributions).
  • Experience with cloud services (Entra ID, Office 365, AWS).
  • Understanding of networking concepts – switching, routing, different layers of networking (OSI and TCP/IP models).
