About the Role

Yooralla is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Clinician Speech Pathologist to join our team in the North/West region. As a key member of our Allied Health team, you will provide best practice, evidence-informed speech pathology services to support people with a disability to achieve their goals and lead the life of their choosing.

You will hold a strong understanding of working within a human rights practice framework, person-centered and family-centered practice, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary models of support, and have leading clinical skills. In addition to managing a clinical case load, this position carries a portfolio of specialist clinical practice, providing strong practice leadership across the organisation and contributing to research and development, policy and practice frameworks, supporting clinical risk management as required, workforce recruitment and planning, staff education and training in areas of specialist clinical knowledge, practice supervision, and practice effectiveness.

About You

You will be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in speech pathology, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage people with a disability and their support team to build their capability. You will have expert ability to work in partnership with referring therapists, to work collaboratively with the client, their family, and their primary therapist.

To be successful in this role, you'll share Yooralla's values and have experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model, the ability to build positive relationships with clients, their families, and referring therapists, a willingness to continuously improve on your clinical and technical knowledge, care for the work you do and for the people you work with, competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems, and good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Appointment is subject to pre-employment checks, including the NDIS Worker Screening Check. You will need to hold a current driver's licence to drive in Australia, as travel is an expectation of the position. Registration with Speech Pathology Australia is also required.
