Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Facilities Manager. This position will involve overseeing the delivery of facilities management services to a national telecommunications client with multisite operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all assets are maintained to the required standard in terms of planned, reactive, and capital works.
  • Undertake regular audits of the field workforce, including contractors, against client and ISS HSEQ policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with designated client representatives via regular formal meetings.
  • Act as the building owner's representative for all facilities within the designated area.
  • Provide technical expertise, knowledge, and site information as required.
  • Attend meetings with clients to coordinate activities, strategies, planning to meet business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A tertiary education in facility management, business administration, or project management or similar operational qualifications.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary workforce.
  • A sound understanding of the operations and maintenance environment in telecommunications or a technical service industry.
  • Risk Management approach to building management.
  • Ability to self-manage, work cooperatively, and collaboratively with others.
  • Proven ability to use own judgement to effectively manage workloads, take responsibility for, and prioritize tasks.

Data Centre experience would be advantageous.

A current NSW Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Contractor license or a current Qualified Supervisor Certificate is desirable.
