
Lease Portfolio Manager

Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the leasing process, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key duties include:
- Complying with all relevant policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders to meet program deliverables.
- Identifying, researching, and evaluating comprehensive due diligence to inform leasing decisions.
- Exercising sound judgment when dealing with complex sites affected by varying state legislations and adhering to legislative requirements.
- Providing support to senior team members and preparing agreements for execution.
- Negotiating agreements with landowners in a timely manner to achieve value for money outcomes.
- Interpreting policy and applying practices and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Liaising with Business Unit representatives to ensure leasing outcomes align with operational requirements.
- Supervising and guiding colleagues to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Escalating complex matters and providing clear communication to enable informed decision-making.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in processes and procedures.
- Applying social justice principles as necessary.
Eligibility:
A degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution or equivalent overseas qualification is required. The successful applicant will possess:
- Commonwealth leasing experience preferred but not essential.
- Commercial real estate experience.
- Highly developed Microsoft suite skills.
- Experience and understanding of Native Title and Cultural Heritage.
- Knowledge of state geospatial data platforms.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a cohesive team.
- Capacity to work with high-volume process tasks in a changing environment.
- Good understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Ability to accurately interpret Commonwealth Property Management Framework, Lands Acquisitions Act 1989 (Cth), and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth).
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and capacity to develop relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Keenness to learn and develop new skills.
