Graduate Engineer and Geoscientist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Graduate Engineer or Geoscientist to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

This role offers a mix of field and office work that supports a wide variety of clients in the mining, transportation, pipeline, energy, and community sectors.

  • Geotechnical investigation, assessment, design, and construction monitoring at mine sites for waste management facilities (e.g. tailings), open pits, underground excavations, access roads, and building foundations.
  • Geotechnical, engineering geology, and water resource assessments for various pipeline, transportation, community, and power projects.
  • Surface and groundwater assessments for environmental baseline studies, water supply projects, design of remediation works, design and construction of water management infrastructure, balance studies, hydrologic assessments, and engineering geology risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Engineer or Geoscientist, your responsibilities may include:

  • Interpreting field data, including material and site characterization, instrumentation data, and contribution to designs.
  • Reporting and interpretation of field data, including geological mapping, sampling, and testing.
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic background in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience and a desire to travel and work in diverse and remote conditions.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
  • Ability to hold a valid, full driver's license in the jurisdiction where you will be employed.
