Job Title: Aviation Safety Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily engineering events, assessing whether further investigation is required.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Engineering to address reported deficiencies or unserviceabilities.
  • Investigate maintenance errors/escapes resulting from external Aircraft Maintenance Organisations performing maintenance on behalf of the airline.
  • Respond to Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) requests for additional information regarding engineering events.
  • Support the independent audit program of external Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMOs).
  • Communicate professionally with other departments regarding engineering quality and safety matters.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams enhancing engineering quality and safety initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • LAME/AME qualifications and relevant experience.
  • A qualification in auditing (ISO 9001 or IOSA Lead Auditor).
  • Experience in Airworthiness and Engineering Operations auditing.
  • Practical expertise in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • A knowledge of Part 42/145 regulations.
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills.
