As a Safety Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of Virgin Australia's aircraft maintenance operations. This position is responsible for conducting daily quality and safety event reviews, investigating maintenance escapes, and coordinating with Fleet Engineering to address deficiencies or unserviceabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation safety standards and regulations, as well as experience in auditing and investigation. A qualification in auditing (ISO 9001 or IOSA Lead Auditor) and practical experience in airworthiness and engineering operations auditing are highly desirable.

In this role, you will work closely with the Leader Quality & Safety, Engineering to identify and address areas for improvement in our maintenance operations. You will also be responsible for participating in cross-functional teams to enhance engineering quality and safety initiatives.
