Job Title: Aps5 Programs Officer

Location: Canberra, Australia

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to undertake tasks to successfully deliver scheme outcomes against tight timelines. As a Programs Officer at the APS5 level, you will be responsible for managing processes that contribute to the successful delivery of grants across their whole life cycle.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and implement process improvements to enhance management across the grant scheme's lifecycle.
  2. Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including grant applicants and holders, Selection Advisory Committee members, and expert reviewers.
  3. Conduct data checks and develop grant-related documents.
  4. Utilize the department's System and other internal computer systems and software effectively.
  5. Coordinate meetings and presentations as required.
  6. Provide administrative support, including preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes, drafting, and/or collation of papers.
  7. Work collaboratively across teams to provide support in the Programs Branch as needed.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Project management skills, including ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good Microsoft Office Skills and ability to work independently.
