Job Summary

The Grants Officer plays a key role in the organization, providing expert guidance and advice to staff on grant policies, frameworks, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining grant guidance material, templates, and tools to support grant administration
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available on the organization's intranet
  • Managing the central mailbox and responding to inquiries, as well as facilitating knowledge sharing among team members
  • Assisting with the preparation of grant reports, including Senate Orders, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining grant program contact lists and coordinating joint meetings to promote collaboration and coordination
  • Monitoring grants awarded to ensure timely and accurate uploading to GrantConnect in compliance with Commonwealth grants framework regulations

Requirements:

  • High level administrative skills and ability to work effectively within a small team
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines, with ability to apply knowledge in practice
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to explain complex concepts and processes to stakeholders
  • Ability to uphold and model the APS Values, Code of Conduct, Employment Principles, and Performance Expectations
