Construction Contract Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Construction Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial legal services team, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, including Australian Standards and Residential Building Contracts.

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts;
  • Advising clients on contract procurement strategies and contractual claims;
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance matters, such as security of payment legislation;

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting and Negotiation:

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of construction contracts, including Australian Standards (construct only and design and construct), Residential Building Contracts (all States and Territories), Consultancy Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, and ECI Agreements.

Contractual Claims and Interpretation:

You will assist clients with contractual claims and interpretation, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure their interests are protected.

Regulatory Compliance:

You will advise clients on a range of regulatory compliance matters, including security of payment legislation, ensuring they remain compliant and up-to-date with changing regulations.
