This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills in occupational therapy to enhance the independence, health and wellbeing of older Australians. You will be working with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs.
- You will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to clients in their homes or community settings.
- You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the needs of each client.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older Australians. As an occupational therapist, you will play a critical role in helping them maintain or regain independence, mobility and confidence to remain living at home.
Your Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in occupational therapy with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- The ability to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged-care clients in the community.
- Post-graduate experience across aged care services, including rehabilitation and community settings.
- A comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models.
- The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Alignment with our values and mission.
- A current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
- An unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum third-party property damage car insurance.
