This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.
As the first point of contact for patients and referrers, you will be responsible for managing front-desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner. This includes welcoming patients, answering telephone enquiries, scheduling patient appointments, and communicating preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients.
You will also be responsible for registering patients, managing paperwork, handling billing and EFTPOS transactions, and ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of reports. Additionally, you will perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching and support other administrative tasks as directed by management.
Requirements- Prior experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role is highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially in imaging, is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software.
- Cash handling and EFTPOS experience are also necessary.
- You will be part of a supportive and professional team in a leading radiology provider.
- Monthly Accrued Day Off (ADO) and uniform provided.
