We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Classroom Teacher to join our supportive team at St Mary’s Catholic School in Wellington, NSW.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a co-educational environment, teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Our school values academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development, and we are looking for a teacher who shares these values.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods, assessing and reporting student progress.
Create a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
Use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
Selection Criteria
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
Capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.
Demonstrate a commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice in a professional learning team.
The desire to engage with and contribute to a Catholic learning organisation.
The ability to develop positive relationships in the classroom based on mutual respect, patience and understanding.
Up-to-date knowledge of NESA and Australian Curriculum requirements for all stages.
