About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated TAS Teacher to join our team at St Mary's Catholic School in Wellington. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality curriculum programs in the TAS subject area, while creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, and will be able to demonstrate expertise in the TAS curriculum. They will also be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school goals and objectives.

The TAS Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs in the TAS subject area
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students
  • Assessing and reporting student progress
  • Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapting practices for equitable education
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes
  • Collaborating with school leadership and staff to achieve school goals and objectives

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and learning, and who has a strong commitment to the values of Catholic education. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise and a passion for leading learning
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation by NESA
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to inform, track and report learning
  • Highly effective organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute to the further development of a self-reviewing and self-improving school culture
  • Interest in the coordination of transition events and an ability to manage various stakeholders
  • A demonstrated commitment and understanding of the ideals of Catholic Education
