Culturally Responsive Mental Health Specialist

The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is committed to providing culturally responsive care for its local Aboriginal communities.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the mental health workforce and work closely with Aboriginal consumers.
As a member of this team, you will be strongly connected with the local Aboriginal community and play a vital role in improving health outcomes.
- This role requires being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, making it a genuine occupational qualification.
- You will need relevant tertiary qualifications in health or management, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complex issues impacting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people are essential.
- You must be able to work effectively with key stakeholders, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In addition, holding a current driver's license and adapting work practices to meet consumer and community needs are also required.
